Reio Voclain

Reio was raised in a cold and neglectful family, with only his older brother as his friend. This distance eventually increased and drove him to run away from home, surviving with what meager jobs he could find along the docks in Kugane. Feeling stagnant in his life, he gathered his savings and mentality, and afforded a ticket to escape to Eorzea. He wandered between the city-states until he settled in Ul'dah, where it was close yet different enough from Kugane to start a new life.In Ul'dah, he started a goldsmithing apprenticeship and enrolled himself in the pugilist's guild with intentions of only learning basic self-defense. However, Reio found himself quickly mixed in with the dealings of the Scions of the Seventh Dawn. After being informed that his strange hallucination-migraines were mostly just the Echo, he was welcomed to their ranks. The rest is history.Being a Warrior of Light, most look to him as a silent and powerful figure, and he does not do much to dissuade them from thinking so. This is not because of any inflated ego, but is from his already introverted and impartial personality. Though the title is of a paragon of justice and Light, he finds himself doubting his actions and abilities. Oftentimes he finds himself unable to make his own conclusions and judgement, relying on what he was told is right to bring himself to action. He is working on this, though.Aside from being an "adventurer by trade", he is interested in technology and machinery, fiddling with bits and bobs when he finds the time to do so. It is only natural that he follows the path of the Machinist. After the events of Shadowbringers, he put down firearms in favor of the astrolabe and nouliths, wanting to heal after a long time of thoughtless fighting. After Endwalker Reio was able to settle down and return to his craft of goldsmithy among other crafts under Tataru's (iron-fisted) tutelage.

Weary
If it wasn't clear from the ever-present eyebags, he does not get enough sleep. He also has very low energy by default, and will not endure much bullshit. If something needs to be done, he will try to get it done with as quickly as possible. Though mostly polite, Reio has a side that can be rude if prodded at.Paranoid
Because of his uncertain upbringing, Reio had grown up to be constantly on edge for potential threats or anything that might go wrong. He is somewhat of a control freak, mostly over his own actions and thoughts. To avoid not acting at all, he had suppressed most of his intrusive thoughts when acting as a Warrior of Light. After all the battles and negotiations, it is the possible repercussions that keep him up at night.Stubborn
Despite appearing hesitant, Reio is not malleable to the world's machinations. He is willing to stick to his own ways, and if anything, insists on it. Reio would not admit to it, but he is quite resilient. Even if his mind is reeling with self-doubt in the end he will stick to his own conviction.
